HI! My name is Stephanie Wuilleumier and I am raising money for Reinaldo Villalobos fight against ALS (Lou Gehrigs disease). So some of you might remember ALS from the viral ice bucket challenge, which was very popular last summer and helped raise over $100 million to the ALS association to aide the research for the cure of this disease. I've known Reinaldo since i'm 17 years old (11 years now) and I want to tell you guys a little about this man I consider like a brother. He is a family man, a selfless man willing to help anyone and everyone he comes in contact with, he is witty with a hysterical sense of humor, an animal lover (has 2 dogs), a man with a smile that takes up half of his face. A man who came to this country to strive and work hard for his dreams and has done it for the past 6 years. Reinaldo is married to beautiful Amy marks, who is now 6 months pregnant. Rei graduated in sports medicine in Colombia, so as you might guess he is very athletic and knows how to play every sport known to man. His dream was to persuit a career in deep water scuba diving. Last year he started to experience muscle spasms and diminished muscle tone in his left arm which was being handled as a side effect from a herniated disc, until he realized that his right arm was starting to spasm also. After many specialists and exams, he was diagnosed a few months ago with ALS. Through all this adversity, Rei was able to work untill just recently. The disease started to affect his lower limbs causing him to stumble and fall sometimes, leaving him with no other choice but to stop working. Amy and Rei have moved to Rhode Island to be closer to her family for support since the baby is on the way. They have faith that through physical therapy, conventional and non-conventional treatments, he will overcome this disease and live many years to watch his baby boy grow up. I ask you all to please help in Rei's battle against ALS and help this family thrive through these difficult times. God bless you all and thank you.
