Rehoming Somers-Kenosha Family

Hello. We are Derrick and Brianna Henry. On Monday, May 29th, while we slept, our garage was slowly engulfed in flames. Late during the night, we were awakened by our neighbors banging on our windows to get us out of the house. Within minutes, the house was filled with smoke. Per the Somers Fire Department, the fire quickly swept through the attic, across the roof to all four corners of the house, and the entire garage. Thankfully, we were able to get out, and no one was harmed. We did, however, lose our family cat, Pink Lily to the fire. As of now, we are unable to live in our home. In addition, most of our belongings have been damaged by smoke and water. We are creating a fundraiser for assistance in finding a new home. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to securing housing, furniture, and necessities. We also hope to assist in paying for damage to the property with these donations. We are actively looking for additional assistance for active military and healthcare workers. Any help in this is greatly appreciated. There is a "contact" function here on the website.
