hi friends, family, familiar faces, and people of the internet… i made this fundraiser kinda like a last hope, similarly to most people i don’t like to ask for help. so know as you’re reading this, it’s a kind of dire situation. a few years ago my brothers wife who was sick with Covid-19 gave birth to their 3rd child. after she was born they did extensive testing while the baby was incubated in the NICU, where she got diagnosed with a pretty rare genetic disorder making her profoundly deaf in both ears. after this diagnosis, testing was done on the 2nd born child where they found out she is also has the same hearing loss.

simultaneously, while this diagnosis was discovered my brother was struggling to maintain a job all the while his family & him have struggled financially keeping up with various medical bills and life expenses. (since his wife immediately became a stay at home mother to their medically needy children who are all 1 year apart…she struggled finding time for a job/keeping one) so for the last 3 years or so i’ve helped my brother & his family survive by paying for various things such as rent, utility bills, clothes, car seats, beds, down-payments, food, diapers etc!!

unfortunately recently my brother got sent to the mental institution after threatening suicide by gun in front of his family. since then a lot has been uncovered about who he is as a person and the real reasons he was unable to financially stay afloat and support his kids/family. after these discoveries his wife started the process of filing for divorce and my brother left immediately, abandoning his kids, family, and financial responsibilities, forcing me (23 year old sister/aunt)to pick up the slack.

the intention behind this go-fund-me is to raise enough funds for my sister to be able to move back home so she can be with her family/support system who can help her with watching the children so she can work, and relocating the children to a school for the deaf & hard of hearing! unfortunately being a single mother is a very difficult task i could imagine, and a single mother with no support is even more difficult… thank you all so much for your time, and for reading this!
