Rehabilitation.Vet support for My Dog Gix
Donation protected
Jon and I came home after working our shift at work, let our baby Gix out of his crate and he was having a hard time breathing. We brought him in the fresh air, he started to turn purple right away cause he couldnt take more than a sec of a breath, as i was trying to breath for him, my other half jon was on the phone trying to call any vet that would answer. It was a saturday so not many places would pick up, needless to say we were watching our dog die right before our eyes. Jon finally got in touch with Brooklyn vet who offered to come in and take his emergency! I continued to breath for him as jon pulled the car around the front of our house. Still blue in the face and mouth i didnt think he was gonna make it, jon picked him up and put him in the car and we rushed to vet. He was put on oxygen right away which brought the color back and helped him start breathing again. We rushed oxygen from two hours away from charslton boston so that we could make the 45 min trip to Tuffs emergency vet with him on the oxygen so he could make it to the emergency care center. Once we arrived he stopped breathing again. They had to intubate him right away To keep him breathing. With lots of tests and acouple days of treatment, cat scans...and surgeons and doctors evaluating they finally made a decision that they wanted to fix an Elongated pallet that he had and also a condition called Laryngeal Paralysis. He is out of surgery now. Still at emergency vet right now, because of covid we cannot see him untill he is ready to be sent home. Needless to say i have never asked for help but we could use any help from our angels on earth for my baby! Even if its just a share i would be forever grateful for the help. He is our world and then some! This home is not a home without our baby blue pitty. I will be forever grateful for any help we can get for him
