Rehabilitation for Ania

My story 2024, which is still ongoing, was a difficult year in my life. The first terrible bleedings appeared and the pain that accompanied them, excluded me from normal functioning. In January 2024, I was a volunteer at the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity in Slough, where I was assigned the role of counting the money collected and, as fate would have it, during this activity I was infected with the herpes virus, as a result of which I fell ill with meningitis. This is where serious problems began. The disease drained my body day after day. I spent practically entire days sleeping. This was followed by hallucinations and terrible headaches.

On February 4th I fell into the bathtub, the ambulance took me to the hospital from Wexham in Slough because my condition was getting worse and I had a stroke and a stroke. I ended up in the hospital in Oxford where I underwent a trepanation of the skull, I also got anaemia, pneumonia and sepsis. After my hospitalization, unfortunately I did not get the proper care and rehabilitation. I did as much as I could privately, as long as I had money. The stroke affected my left side. At first I could not walk at all, then I started moving with a stick, which resulted in degeneration of my left shoulder. I still struggle with the pain and difficulties on my left side. In addition, I have constant migraines, which make my life difficult. My brain went a bit crazy and I lost my concentration, I do not remember a lot, I even get lost in places I know and I cannot return to my normal rhythm from before the illness, which is additionally exhausting. Unfortunately, when it comes to the NHS, it is difficult to enforce anything, and I am a young person and I want to continue to live a normal life. Without further rehabilitation, this is not possible at the moment. I am still on very strong medication, which has significantly weakened my liver and no painkillers work on me. Plus there is a risk of epilepsy after the illness.

The money raised will help me undergo specialist post-stroke rehabilitation, which I hope will help me return to a normal life.

Moja historia rok 2024 który nadal trwa był ciężkim rokiem w moim życiu. Pierwsze pojawiły się potworne krwotoki i towarzyszący im ból, wykluczył mnie z normalnego funkcjonowania. W styczniu 2024 byłam wolontariuszką na WOŚP w Slough, gdzie przypadła mi rola liczenia zebranych pieniędzy i los chciał, że podczas tej czynności zaraziłam się wirusem opryszczki w wyniku czego zachororowałam na zapalenie opon mózgowych. Tu zaczęły się poważne problemy. Choroba dzień po dniu wycieczała mój organizm. Praktycznie całe dnie spędzałam śpiąc. Doszły do tego halucynacje i potworne bóle głowy.

4 lutego wpadłam do wanny, ambulans wziął mnie do szpitala z wexham w slough ponieważ mój stan się pogarszał i dostalam wylewu i udaru. Trafiłam do szpitala w Oxford gdzie przeszłam trepanację czaszki przy okazji dostalam anemi i zapalenia płuc oraz sepsę. Po skończonej hospitalizacji niestety nie dostałam należytej opieki i rehabilitacji. Ile mogłam to robiłam prywatnie na tyle ile pieniędzy starczyło. Wylew miał wpływ na moją lewą stronę. Na początku w ogóle nie chodziłam, potem zaczęłam się poruszać o lasce przez co dostałam zwyrodnienie lewego barku. Z bólem i z trudnościami lewej strony borykam się do dziś. Poza tym towarzyszą mi nieustające migreny, które utrudniają mi życie. Mój mózg trochę zwariował i straciłam koncentrację, dużo nie pamiętam gubię się nawet w miejscach, które znam i nie mogę wrócić do mojego normalnego rytmu sprzed choroby co dodatkowo mnie wykańcza.

Niestety jeśli chodzi o nhs jest ciężko cokolwiek wyegzekwować, a ja jestem młodą osobą i chcę dalej normalnie żyć. Bez dalszej rehabilitacji na chwilę obecną nie jest to możliwe.

Jestem w dalszym ciągu na bardzo silnych lekach, które znacznie osłabiły moja wątrobę i nie działają na mnie żadne środki przeciwbólowe. Plus istnieje ryzyko epilepsji po przebytej chorobie.

Zebrane pieniądze pomogą mi podjąć specjalistyczną po wylewową rehabilitację, która mam nadzieję pomoże mi wrócić do normalnego życia.
