Rehab and Vet Fees for my Basset Hound
Donation protected
My Basset hound, Copper, escaped from the house on Friday 5/24/19 and ran directly into the street, resulting in him being hit by a car. Our local vet diagnosed him as paralyzed from the waist down, however he is already showing signs of movement in his lower region. We are hopeful for a full recovery, but he needs proper medical assistance to get there. The tests alone (X-rays, vet fees, etc...) will be extremely costly. Copper will definitely need rehab to help him gain his mobility and independence back.
He's a fighter and will continue to fight through the pain, but proper funds are necessary in order to ensure adequate medical attention for all of his needs. Copper was a super energetic dog before the accident, and my family and I would love nothing more than to have him as close to his best self again as possible.
Words cannot express how sad we are after this tragedy, but we will not give up on him, his spirits are still high despite his pain. If there is any dog that can recover from something like this, it's Copper.
