Meet Moose - the big pup who was dealt a bad hand. This sweet boy was dumped on the streets of Berkeley with an embedded harness, no training, and not a friend in the world. After 2 weeks on the run, he was finally caught and stuck at Berkeley Animal Control - where he was almost euthanized for his fear and overall bad behavior. Poor guy was in a feral state after being on his own so long. He was pulled (hours before euthanasia) with the help of a rescue, and is now in a wonderful foster home. His foster family has other dogs and a cat, and Moose is not responding well. He has shown lots of love to his foster parents, so we know he is an affectionate guy - BUT - he needs a lot of training and rehabilitation to be ready for a forever home. His fear aggression needs to be addressed immediately so that we can help him move forward. He is a gorgeous pitbull mix, 85+ pounds, has a lot of heart, no training, and is very scared! Moose deserves a second chance at life with humans that actually love him - and the only way to do that is to get him professional training ASAP. The good news is we've found an amazing trainer that specializes in fear aggression! Our hope is to get Moose into rehabilitation by the end of this week! Please help us send Moose to this specialist who will help him to gain confidence, learn how to get along with other animals, and no longer have fear aggression. We know he can do it - and we can't wait to share his transformation with you! It takes a village - and we thank you in advance for all of your support!
