Rehab & physiotherapy treatment

Hi my name is Grace and I am 17 years old, currently studying at Worthing College. I am trying to raise funds for my physiotherapy/rehab treatment. Im a keen rugby player who started at 11 playing for Bognor Regis Rugby Club then continued into the u13 girls section where I stayed for another 2 years, I then moved to Horsham Rugby Club to start the next age group of u16’s where we had 2 amazing seasons and winning the league both years, regional champions in year 1 then getting through to the National cup final but unfortunately we didn’t win that one but we were 36 games unbeaten at this time. We went on to play a Dutch academy who we won against here and while on tour in Holland.

I then played for my county (Sussex) U16s, DPP u16s, then had the opportunity to have trials for Centre of Excellence Harlequins Academy where I was selected for the team of 28 girls. We started training for a big CoE festival for mid August, unfortunately 7 weeks into training I had a bad tackle which resulted in my ACL rupturing, so I needed an operation for reconstruction then intensive physiotherapy looking at a 9-12 months recovery road. I got the all clear at 9 months to start 3 months of preseason to look at a return game date off end of August with my college.

I was given the opportunity to have trials for the new PDG (replacing CoE) doing light training but unfortunately on the second trial I had a knock with another player and felt something go within my knee again, moving forward a week and I now know that I re-ruptured my graft got 2 meniscus tears lots of bruising and swelling within my knee and is facing another operation and a longer road to recover. I’m asking for donations to go towards my rehab/physio however small as every penny will help ease the pressures off my parents.
