Hello,
My name is David Lee Covert. My wife Ruth, our two children, Christopher (16) and Patrick (15), and I are an active family who have been vitally involved in our church, school, community, and sports activities in the village of New Knoxville, Ohio. Ruth is a giving person, a fantastic wife, and a loving mother. Everyone who knows her already recognizes that!
While enjoying the privilege to live and serve in our community, one of life's unexpected challenges has arisen. Ruth recently endured a serious stroke, requiring surgery and intensive therapy, and has been in the hospital for one and a half months. She will be returning home soon to continue her therapy and recovery. The medical procedure and stays at two hospitals has left us with significant bills and other added expenses to manage. Our family's income is more limited due to her being unable to work. Additionally our sons and I will need to stay home more to be the major caregivers in her recovery.
We were encouraged to establish this this GoFundMe campaign to help with this challenge. As difficult as it is to manage all the medical and family aspects of Ruth's recovery, it would be a tremendous relief to alleviate some of the financial burden that sits on top of it all.
Ruth has been working extremely hard and is making great progress. Our expectation is for Ruth to regain all her physical capabilities and be the active person she was previously. We are grateful for your prayers, counsel, and offers to help in so many ways. We are also very thankful for you considering to help through this campaign.
As Ruth continues to recover we will endeavor to post updates on her complete restoration.
