When we began covering nicotine vaping in late 2015, none of us knew how important or explosive this issue would become. Today, safer nicotine products remain one of the most misunderstood and misrepresented public health topics of our time.
Across the world, public health and tobacco control continue to ignore evidence, distort science, misrepresent relative risk, weaponize the precautionary principle, sow moral panic among parents, policymakers, and the media, suppress support for tobacco harm reduction, demonize pro-THR researchers, and amplify blatant misinformation about the so-called harms of safer nicotine products. These tactics do more than distort public debate. They eliminate access to potentially life-saving alternatives to combustible tobacco and silence those who dare to speak the truth.
Over the past decade, RegWatch has delivered more than 600 broadcast-quality episodes featuring hundreds of the world’s leading scientists, researchers, and regulatory officials. We have platformed tobacco harm reduction activists, covered international events, and built a comprehensive public record on an issue that matters deeply to consumers and thousands of small business owners across Canada and the United States.
As we enter Year Eleven, our mission remains unchanged: independent journalism, uncompromised and unafraid.
