Regium Lepidi Italy dream Role, Mozart.

My name is Montserrat Castro Barrón, and I am a lyric soprano who graduated with a Master’s in Opera in 2022. I am writing to request financial assistance to cover my accommodation during the Regium Lepidi Opera Festival 2025. I have been selected to perform the leading role of the Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro by Mozart, which will take place in Correggio, Italy, during the summer of 2025.

Being part of this festival with a professional orchestra and auditioning in an Italian theater will be an invaluable experience for my career development. I firmly believe this will elevate my skills and open new opportunities for my future in opera.

At present, my part-time work and teaching music allow me to cover my living expenses in the UK, but I do not have the financial means to cover my accommodation costs for the three weeks in Italy and the professional opera coaching.
