Regis John Dursa III

Hi my name is Melissa and I am raising this money for my brother and sister in law, Regis and Ashley.

Yesterday, October 8, 2023 was a nightmare. It is every expectant parents worst fear.

My brother has no biological children. When I tell you that is all he has ever wanted, to be a father, I mean that. He is a step dad to Ashley's 2 children and it has brought him so much joy. But his hearts delight came true on Fathers day 2023. When Ashley announced she was pregnant. They were expecting their first baby together to arrive in Feb 2024.

Everything was going according to plan. And then, on October 8th at 19 weeks and 6 days into her pregnancy, they woke up to go to church and she immediately knew something was wrong. She was having contractions. And at first, thought maybe they were braxton hicks. She went into the hospital a short time later, after realizing this was not a false alarm. Within hours, my nephew was here. Regis John Dursa III was born at 11:48 am, Weighing 12 ounces and at 10 inches long.

He lived for 20 minutes. And passed away in his earthly fathers arms, and woke up in his Heavenly Fathers Arms.

We are devastated.

I am raising this money to help defer the costs of a funeral, which we are having. And money so that they can take bereavement leave from their jobs for as long as they need. No parent should have to go to work too soon, after losing a child.

We are a family that believes in God. We know where Regis III is. And God will give us peace, I know, in time.
