Exchange Student Opportunity - Regina's Tuition

Hola soy Regina Albores Alvarado, tengo 18 años y soy de la Ciudad de México.

Tengo una beca desde 2022 en St. John’s Ravenscourt, una escuela en Winnipeg,

Canadá.

Todos los años que he estado aquí fueron posibles gracias a el gofundme que cree cuando pensé que irme no iba a ser posible, recibí 30 donaciones y gracias a eso tuve la oportunidad de seguir estudiando en Canadá.

En estos tres años mi vida cambió completamente para bien. Mi interés por los deportes creció y soy parte de 3 equipos varsity de fútbol, basketball y rugby. Conocí a personas que cambiaron mi vida y que siempre se quedarán, aprendí a ser independiente y a crecer como persona. Descubrí mi pasión por medio de oportunidades de servicio comunitario que la escuela me brinda como conectar mi pasión con el deporte y trabajar con niños discapacitados y ayudarlos. Todas estas experiencias me han abierto nuevas puertas de ver el mundo.

Me siento muy afortunada de recibir tanto apoyo de personas y de mi mamá. Aunque solo seamos ella y yo, lucha cada día por darme lo mejor y esta apoyándome todo el tiempo.

Desafortunadamente ahora estoy en la misma situación en donde no nos alcanza para cubrir el monto total.

Me encantaría graduarme en St.Johns Ravenscourt ya que es un lugar en donde me reto a mi misma y al mismo tiempo me hace crecer y aprender como nunca lo había hecho.

Se que lo que he vivido es una gran oportunidad que muy pocos tienen y por eso estoy dispuesta a hacer todo lo que esté en mis manos, decidí abrir esta recaudación para juntar los fondos que necesito para completar el pago de mi beca.

Si lo logramos mi objetivo sigue siendo seguir aprovechando al máximo la escuela.

Ojalá puedan apoyarme porque esta oportunidad ha cambiado el curso de mi vida educativa y profesional de por vida, podré encontrar personas que me puedan ayudar a salir adelante con éxito, y ayudar en un futuro a personas que estén en una situación similar a la mía y darle lo mejor a mi mamá para ayudarla como ella lo ha hecho conmigo.

Hello, my name is Regina Albores Alvarado, I am 18 years old, and I am from Mexico City. I have a scholarship starting in 2022 at St.John´s Ravenscourt, a school in Winnipeg, Canada.

All the years I’ve been here were possible thanks to the gofundme I created when I thought attending wasn´t going to be possible. I received 30 donations and thanks to that I had the opportunity to continue studying in Canada.

In these three years my life changed completely for the better. My interest for sports grew and I’m part of three varsity teams:soccer, basketball,and rugby. I met people who changed my life and who will always stay with me. I learned to be independent and how to grow as a person. I discovered my passion through community service opportunities the school provided such as connecting my passion with sports and working with and helping children with disabilities. All of these experiences have opened new doors for me to see the world.

I feel very fortunate to receive so much support from people and from my mom. Even Through it´s just her and me, she fights every day to give me her best and supports me constantly.

Unfortunately, I´m now in the same situation we can´t afford to cover the full amount. I would love to graduate from St.Johns Ravenscourt because it´s a place where I can challenge myself and at the same time grow and learn like never before. I know that what I’ve experienced is a great opportunity that very few have, and that´s why I´m willing to do everything in my power.

I decided to start this fundraiser to raise the funds I need to complete my scholarship payment. If we achieve this, my goal remains to continue making the most of school.

I hope you can support me because this opportunity has changed the course of my educational and professional life for life. I’ll be able to find people who can help me succeed, help people in a similar situation in the future, and give my best to my mom to help her as she helped me.
