Reginald Moore Medical Fund

With a heavy heart I want give a brief history on the current condition of Reggie.

In November 2019, Reggie started to have some hearing problems. It was a relatively simple fix with an OTC hearing aid. By mid March 2020, Reggie’s hearing had further decreased to the point that professional treatment was needed to provide measurable improvement in his hearing.

In June 2020, Reggie became ill with what we thought was a simple stomach bug. However, he was admitted into the hospital and the journey to recovery began. He was diagnosed with having a stroke at some point prior to being hospitalized.

Unfortunately in September, Reggie suffered from another stroke, and then finally in October, Reggie had yet again suffered from another stroke.  After numerous tests, it was believed that Reggie's strokes were being caused by Primary CNS Vasculitis or PCNSV, but several steps needed to be completed to confirm the diagnosis.

The first step was completed with no issues.  However, during the second phase of testing, Reggie developed a serious infection that traveled into his blood stream.  As a result, another surgery was required and proved to be the biggest challenge Reggie faced until that point.  After the surgery, Reggie developed a pseudoaneurysm at the surgical site, but it was not officially diagnosed until it ruptured, which led to Reggie being flown by helicopter to Baptist Health Little Rock for emergency surgery.  While undergoing the surgery to correct the aneurysm, it is believed that Reggie suffered his fourth stroke.

Now that I have given a brief account of the journey that our beloved Reggie has been traveling, I want to explain one of the other challenges that Reggie has facing him.  When Reggie’s mother started to need someone to help with daily activities , Reggie packed a bag and was there for the person he loved most in his life, Mrs. Euba Mae Harris Winton.  As a result, his home was left mostly unattended and is currently in need of vital repairs so that he has a much easier time at home.

The only requests that our Reggie has is one, to be in the comfort of his home and two, to continue to help those around him in any way possible.  The medical bills are continuing to add up and the cost of the required improvements to his home for his maximum ease of use are far greater than what we are able to accomplish alone.

Therefore, I sincerely ask each of you who are able, to please help provide all that this very loved man is in need of, and if you are only able to send a card with best wishes or offer to be in prayer, we all can and will play a vital role in helping Reggie recover.

Let me finish by saying again,  thank you to every single one of you. I trust that if you know Reggie and have held a conversation with him or heard him sing, you know just how special he really is.

May God's love and mercy be with you all.
