On September 10th, 2017 Reginald "Red" "Reggie" Alexander was admitted to St. Luke’s Methodist hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with a diagnosis of pancreatitis. Upon admittance, he was given an estimated hospital stay of three days, currently today, September 25th, 2017 he currently still an inpatient.
The Details:
The diagnosis of pancreatitis has a standard treatment of fasting and IV fluids to be given to give the pancreas a chance to recover. Pancreatitis is inflammation in the pancreas. The pancreas produces enzymes that help digestion and hormones that help regulate the way your body processes sugar. A tube was placed in the nose and down into the stomach to help with removing the overproduced secretions. During this time, he also had several lab tests that came back abnormal, diminished kidney function, trouble with regulating blood pressure and constant hiccups for three day's straight.
We are currently going on week three of Reggie being in the hospital, he still does not have a specific discharge date, if he does go home he will need to having a feeding tube and will be unable to work for a lengthy amount of time.

Reggie and I have been together for 17 years, here is us at 15 years:
Today marks another year together with this man. There's been struggles, as with any relationship however, with our "fight" thru it all, with our four kids and SO many memories already, it just makes me appreciate the people WE'VE become and look forward to celebrating so many more...thank you for showing me patience. (Lawwwwwd have mercy ;) lol) Thank you for all the laughter. .. Thank you for your kind heart. Thank you for showing me love IS unconditional...lastly, thank you for "fighting" thru it all...shows how a true man will stay by your side regardless of what a piece of paper "proves"...shows what is truly in your heart and your mind...
