Regina Jones' road to recovery

On New Year's Eve, while we were all out at karaoke, our mother Regina Jones suffered a stroke due to an artery rupturing that caused bleeding in her brain, she was rushed to the ER and was in the ICU for a week. I am so thankful that we were all out together, that we were able to be with her while she was going through this. Since then, it's been an absolute whirlwind and to those who have reached out to us, sent us good thoughts/vibes, or prayed for us, we truly have all of you to thank and I can't express on behalf of my family how much it meant to us to see all of the support. Luckily, mom is out the woods for the brain bleed but it will be a long process to get her back to herself. She is still immobile at the moment, and is just now able to start on liquid foods and get off of her feeding tube! Unfortunately the brain injury is the biggest complication as she is still unable to communicate clearly and there isn't a time table on when she will recover from that fully. The next step for her is to get well enough to be moved to a rehab center so she can begin to get her motor functions back.

We're doing this GoFundMe because my mom is the foundation of our family, while not only working as a loan officer, she also makes sure that my grandparents get to all of their appointments, picks up medicine/groceries, cooks, she truly does it all. She had so much on her plate and always puts others before herself. These funds will be used to help with the inevitable medical bills, mortgage, groceries, medication until she can be well enough to work again.

Every little bit helps if you can spare it, but more than anything we really appreciate the outpour of love and support. Our mother is truly loved by so many and we tell her that every single day, keep praying for her and please tell someone you love them today. God Bless.
