Reggie Jarrard needs our help!
Donation protected
I am reaching out to all my friends, family, and neighbors to ask for your support to help a Greensboro family who have touched the lives of so many over the years. Recently, our friend and brother in music, Reggie Jarrard was diagnosed with Colon Cancer Stage 3. As you know, this is a very serious disease. Our brother, Reggie is faced with a long journey of recovery. It will take modern medicine, our prayers, and love and support for the family to help them through this.
The cost of treatment, as you can expect, is astronomical. A single pill to treat this type of tumor cost $4,600. He is being treated by Dr. Albo at the University Hospital in Augusta. He is currently scheduled for 3 months of chemotherapy and radiation. They will evaluate the tumor after a few months and decide on surgery at that time. Cancer is merciless and the family is facing a major challenge. Reggie, Debbie and all the kids need us, as a community, to wrap our arms around them.
Reggie and Debbie would never ask for financial support from anyone and that is why I elected to move forward with a "Go Fund Me" on their behalf. They have been a friend to so many of us over the years and touched so many lives. We have all, at one time or another, stood in front of his stage and yelled "Mustang Sally" or "Brown Eyed Girl". How many of you attended the Veazey Jam back in the day or jumped off Jernigans Bridge with him? As I said, we have all interacted with this family over the years at one time or another and are better for it. Salt of the earth comes to mind when I think of Reggie, Mike, Rod, Ms. Dottie and Mr. Roscoe.
I ask each of you to consider a donation to this page to help ease the financial burden that is already having an impact on them.
Let's show them our love by donating and sharing!
