Jamie is a well-loved volunteer and member of UUFCC. You may have seen him helping out in Worship or with the Search Committee or collecting money for the auction or volunteering in the office or...
Jamie needs our help. He is in chronic pain. As you know he uses a cane and sometimes his scooter. Jamie has been evaluated for a procedure called regenerative medicine* that uses one's stem cells to address the problem. Here is what Jamie says...
"I have been in so much pain for so many years. What I hope to achieve from this procedure with the Drs at Active Integrated Medical Center in Hershey PA is to gain mobility and get rid of some or all of the pain. One of the areas that will be done is my Right Hip, which was replaced on June 27, 2014. I am in constant pain with this hip. The Dr said they could do an injection there that would help with the pain."
*Regenerative medicine may be defined as the process of replacing or regenerating human cells, tissues or organs to restore or establish normal function. Regenerative Medicine refers to a group of biomedical approaches to clinical therapies that may involve the use of stem cells.
With this procedure, Jamie might be finally able to live a life without pain. What a gift! Won't you help?
