Refurbish Vandalized John Lewis Memorial

UPDATE - Thank you all for your generous support! The mural has been taken down for refurbishment. Please keep an eye on our social media pages for an exciting update - there are big plans for this piece of the heart of Riverside!
Less than a week after the groundbreaking of the Civil Rights Institute of Southern California, the massive mural in tribute to Congressman John Lewis' life was defaced.
The mural was the first major project of the institute as it told John Lewis' life story and encouraged viewers to think about justice, voting AND all that Civil Rights leaders fought and continue to fight for.
Join us in funding the artists to restore the mural to its original state.
