After extensive building work over the past year, Slinfold School now has a large grassed area alongside our playground. We would like to develop this into a Reflection Garden and Retreat.

The Reflection Garden will provide a peaceful and purposeful outdoor environment that reflects the school's close relationship with the church and supports pupils' spiritual development. At the heart of the garden, the Retreat will serve as a flexible learning environment, providing additional teaching accommodation for curriculum delivery, intervention groups and enrichment activities. The space will also offer opportunities for prayer, reflection and worship, enabling pupils to develop their understanding of faith and spirituality within a natural setting.

During breaktimes and lunchtimes, it will provide a calm and nurturing environment where children can relax, reflect, pray, or engage in positive social interactions. The facility will support a range of wellbeing activities, including mindfulness, emotional regulation, nurture sessions and pastoral support.

By combining outdoor learning, wellbeing provision and opportunities for spiritual reflection, the Reflection Garden and Retreat will create an inclusive space that strengthens the school's Christian ethos, enhances links with the church, and supports the educational, emotional and spiritual needs of all pupils.
