Dennis’ road to recovery

Dennis has been in the hospital since July 31st due to having a syncopal episode (fainting) at home resulting in him falling and hitting his head. They did a MRI of his head, which showed bleeding (specifically a subdural hemorrhage and a subarachnoid hemorrhage), as well as a contusion. He also got a platelet transfusion due to his platelets being very low. Additionally, most of his electrolytes are low and have been fluctuating daily, resulting in him receiving multiple IV infusions. Many other tests and procedures have been done as they are continuing to monitor him daily.

At this time, we are unsure when he will be able to be discharged. But Dennis has a long road of recovering ahead of him as he will need to go to a skilled rehab facility once medically cleared and discharged from the hospital. And with Dennis sick in the hospital, Darcie has not been able to work in order to stay by Dennis’ side.
