hello !!! my name is Reese and I am raising funds to help cover costs associated with top surgery which has taken literal years to get scheduled - March 11th CANNOT come soon enough and it's feeling really real with surgery being about three weeks away.

the last handful of years have been a whirlwind of figuring out who I am and essentially meeting myself again - this time as Reese. I initially came out as queer in 2019 but it wasn't until 2024 that I realized I was trans despite gender feeling weird throughout most of my life. I started HRT in October 2024 which helped to alleviate a LOT of the dysphoria I had been living with but my chest was and continues to be something that I struggle with.

flash forward to now and I am just THREE weeks out from surgery. I am noticing that I am passing more in day to day life - from the middle school boy mustache to the deeper voice I am feeling more myself every day and I grateful that top surgery will bring with it even more gender euphoria.

unfortunately top surgery also brings with it medical expenses and literal income cuts given the fact that I will be on FML for 4-6 weeks as I recover. I'm expecting to pay at least $5,000 out of pocket for surgery without factoring in additional expenses or lost income.

I am so incredibly grateful to any folks who have made it this far - in the reading through this fundraiser sense but also in the general human connection sense. I am not sure I would have made it this far without all the humans who have supported me throughout the last few years.
