Reese, a player from the St. Vital Victorias Junior Hockey Team of the Manitoba Major Junior Hockey League (MMJHL), was severely injured playing the game he loves on December 19, 2019.
He sustained severe injuries to his neck and upper back requiring surgery to stabilize four vertebral fractures in his spine. He sustained a spinal cord injury and is paralyzed from the chest down, and also has paralysis in his hands.
We are asking for your support to help Reese and his family (Trevor, April Gobert & Mitch) on this unexpected journey as they focus on his recovery.
Funds raised will be put towards medical support, mobility equipment (such as wheelchairs), home modifications & vehicle modifications to enable Reese to live a fulfilling life after this injury. In time, Reese plans to continue pursuing his business degree.
