REESE FAMILY HOME and MEDICAL FUNDS
Donation protected
I am Julie Van Vleck. My fiance and I are starting this Go Fund Me to help our dear friends in this time of crisis. Our beautiful God daughter Hasley (Pea Pod) has fought all odds to come into this world. Our dear friends, Steve and Casey Reese, tried for years to have a baby. It was such a blessing when they got the news that Casey was pregnant. Then, they received the devastating news that the baby's heart had not developed properly. The family was told she was missing a valve in her heart and would need open heart surgery soon after her birth. Casey was admitted to the Ronald McDonald House on June 29th. Hasley was born on July 26th, and other than her heart, she is a healthy baby girl. The team of doctors kept her on medication to keep her from crying. She had been eating well. Then things changed. Hasley was not eating, a feeding tube was inserted to make sure she had adequate food. She began eating on her own again and it was decided that they were going to perform open heart surgery today (August 3). But, her heart became too distressed. They are now considering a heart transplant. We get updates throughout the day on Hasley's prognosis and will update her story as it progresses.
The medical bills for this family are going to be astronomical. Additionally, with both parents at the hospital, the household income will be greatly reduced. They find themselves completely unprepared for this financial crisis. Any help you can provide is deeply appreciated.
UPDATE: August 5, 2022. It is with the utmost sadness that Hasley's body just cannot take any more stress. Her organs have begun shutting down. This family has made the incredibly difficult decision to remove all of the medical assistance and let this beautiful baby rest in the heavens. We will now be using and continuing to raise funds
for the funeral. Thank you again for your support.
Please continue to keep the Reese family in your thoughts and prayers.
