As many know, our grandson, Reece, has AML leukemia. Reece is on his 6th day of over 40 intense chemo treatments and he is definitely handling them like a Superhero.
Because the chemo treatments for AML are so intense, they have to stay in the hospital another 17-21 days after the treatments because of the big risk for infection and disease. They will have to do this same round of chemo and hospital stay 4 times.
Right now, Rodney, Lauren, and Reece are in Pittsburgh, PA for work reasons. They are in the process of making the decision to move back to Texas for the additional support of friends and family. If they decide to move, with God's help, Reece will be medi-flighted to Children's Hospital in Houston on the last few days of the first round chemo break.
Any funds donated will go directly to Lauren and Rodney for medical expenses, hospital stay, travel to Texas (if chosen), and living expenses while at the hospital. They have decided that any funds remaining will be donated to the leukemia division of Children's Hospital for further research and understanding of Leukemia.
They have decided to start a blog to help everyone stay updated on Reece, which you can visit at www.reecethesuperhero.blogspot.com
We to want thank everyone for your thoughts, love, well wishes and most of all your prayers. God is Good!
