Please Help Us Bring Reece Home ❤️

Hello, my name is Rebecca Draper, and my family and I are raising money to support my beautiful older brother, Reece.

Reece is one of the kindest, most caring people you could ever meet. He has always been the quiet one in our family, but somehow has the biggest personality and the biggest heart. He is the person who is always looking after everyone else and making sure we are okay. He absolutely adores our two dogs, is a huge Arsenal supporter, and has spent his life caring for the people around him.

In March, Reece suddenly began losing the sight in one of his eyes. Despite countless appointments, tests and trips back and forth to London, we struggled to get answers. Sadly, his condition continued to deteriorate. He eventually lost the sight in both eyes and developed severe difficulties eating and drinking, breathing problems, significant weight loss and a devastating loss of strength and mobility.

Reece has since been diagnosed with a rare brain tumour called medulloblastoma, although doctors have told us they are not completely certain that this is the cause of his condition. His situation remains extremely complex, and our family is desperate to find further answers and explore every possible option available to him.

While in hospital, Reece also developed pneumonia, which he has been fighting for weeks. We have been told that treatment for his brain tumour cannot begin until he has recovered from the infection and is strong enough to cope with treatment.

Our family has now been told that doctors do not believe there is anything more they can do for Reece and that they believe he will pass away.

But Reece is still fighting.

He is still here, and we are not ready to give up on him.

We are raising money so that our family can explore every possible avenue of support — including seeking further medical opinions, specialist care, potential treatment options and any other help that may give Reece a chance.

More than anything, we want to bring Reece home.

We want him surrounded by his family, back with his dogs, watching and complaining about football, laughing with us and being the Reece we know and love.

Reece has spent his whole life caring for everyone else. Now, we want to do everything we possibly can to care for him.

If you can donate, no matter how small, it would mean more to our family than we can put into words. If you can’t donate, simply sharing Reece’s story could help us reach someone who may be able to offer the support or expertise we desperately need.

Thank you for taking the time to read Reece’s story, for supporting our family and for helping us fight for someone who means the world to us.

Please help us bring Reece home. ❤️

With love,
Rebecca and the Draper family
