Redwood Valley Smart Growth is a dedicated group of volunteers who have spent the past ten years standing up for the community and environment of Redwood Valley. They are opposing the construction of a new, 10-pump Chevron gas station, a project that has faced strong resistance from the majority of people who attend the Redwood Valley Municipal Advisory Council, the Grassroots Institute, and CONGAS (Coalition Opposing New Gas Stations). Despite this widespread opposition, the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors recently reversed the denial of a permit by Mendocino Planning and Building Services, allowing the project to move forward.

In response, Redwood Valley Smart Growth has filed a lawsuit against the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors and Faizan Corporation LLC. This fundraiser is crucial—it will cover the cost of legal representation for the people of Redwood Valley who are fighting to protect their community from the impacts of Big Oil and climate change.
