Hello friends and family. A horrible thing has happened to someone who I and many others love and call a great man. My best friend, someone I consider to be my brother has lost a lot because of this tragedy. A lithium polymer battery exploded and started a fire in his room. Ron lives on the second floor next to his niece's room. Above Ron's room is where his sister, her husband, and their baby sleep. At the time, his sister, her youngest daughter, and her 2 dogs were inside. Everyone was able to get out safely with only minor smoke inhalation. In an attempt to put out the fire, Ron had some facial hair singed, but thankfully nothing worse.
I set this campaign at $2,000, although I'm sure much more in value was lost. Everything in Ron's room and almost everything in his sister and her husband's room is gone. His sister and her husband also have two young girls (ages 1 and 6) to take care of, and are hit very hard by this loss.
In addition, Ron and I used to own a drone store and we have been working hard to prepare to re-open after this terrible COVID situation. In Ron's room was ALL of his drone equipment and about 3/4 of mine, as well as 5 units given to us for repair by friends who wanted to help us re-open our business. Drone repair equipment is very expensive; we've estimated losses so far to be between $6,000 and $8,000 for our tools, equipment, and everything related to our fledgling business. Unfortunately, we have no business insurance at this time as we were in the process of moving and revamping the store.
All of the money donated will be given to Ron and his family to help rebuild their lives during this horrible time for everyone. Any and all help is GREATLY GREATLY appreciated. God Bless Ron and his entire family (sister, brother-in-law, and two nieces) and thank God that everyone is okay.
