Redmond Treehouse Restoration

It's been in Redmond for 40 years standing as likely the only treehouse on an island and it's finally time to finish and shine! The Redmond Treehouse needs just a little more support (literally new legs and foundation to take the weight off the Maple) to finish and become an enjoyable space!
We're launching this on America's Independence Day in hopes the Treehouse will gain it's own sustainable independence through restoration! Let's free it (and it's daughters!) and make it useful once again. We created www.RedmondTreehouse.com to help communicate it's use and value and look forward to capturing and sharing it's progress.
This summer is the time to restore it as my lil' sister, Courtney, is home and I'm getting really old to still be living at home! She moved home last winter to help with the family farm and has been working on restoring our parents (my brothers) "Blodge" home since. She's not only helped pick up the broken pieces of our family but has brought her lil' sister sweet love with her home and helping mend our family!
Our sweet Redmond Treehouse has been an active and ongoing family art-love creation. It's never-ending "organic play development" is a treasure to our family and one we'd like to fix up and share. It's time to finish its restoration and take it to the next level of functional use which with 4-stories, where the first and second floors can easily be a room for enjoyment.
By accepting that the big ol' Maple tree won't sustain holding power, we've collaborated with civil engineer friends and devised plans to support the Treehouse with a few more legs and strong pillar foundation base. This way, we can honor the tree and let it live it's life without stress of carrying weight and still exist around it safely. Our arborist friends can't wait to schedule time to come out, but their time for their work costs money. We will likely have to take dead limbs down and have a management program moving forward, but the tree is still very much alive and happy which we'd like to honor. We've budgeted a very baseline amount and volunteering out time and what resources we can share to accomplish progress. We've budgeted a 13 line item of materials to make it happen not including paying for labor hours:
Please advocate and sponsor our goals for the Redmond Treehouse and help bring it and our homestead to life and dreams come true.
Did we mention the Treehouse is on it's own island that is growing baby Red Cedar and Fir Trees?! How cute is that! Tiny Treehouse trees! We're committed to conserving the trees and land for a future farm and share in the love for our evergreen friends. Considering Microsoft is just down the street and doubles in size daily with folks driving in and car pollution, we'd like to preserve the tree lot and create a farm to share it's offspring and preserve-grow the local ecosystem with local tree buds for planting.
Help us in our Summer restoration efforts in fixing the Redmond Treehouse! Thank you for your support and help in making our dreams come true.
