Black Girl Pilates™️ is raising funds to help Redline Pilates offer two scholarships for eligible student applicants. Please support the efforts of Black Girl Pilates™️ and contribute to the funds for these two scholarships, $800 each that will be distributed at the discretion of Tabatha Koylass and Ife Obi. This will provide the opportunity for two deserving future Mat Pilates teachers to receive financial assistance and begin their journey in Pilates!
Redline Pilates Teacher Training Program is founded in partnership by Tabatha Koylass of Chicago and Ife Obi of Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, NY. Their program focuses on a deeply comprehensive Mat Certification that incorporates classical and contemporary science-backed techniques with in-depth anatomy study and professional marketing & development. In order to participate in this program, applicants must have completed a minimum of 20 hours of Pilates practice.
The Redline Pilates program is committed to offering a virtual Mat Pilates Teacher Training that is accessible to and inclusive of underserved groups in their communities. Tabatha and Ife put in the work to get their communities healthier and are working to create more teachers of color to expand their reach and change who is viewed as the leaders in the Pilates space. As part of this mission, they will be offering scholarships for 30% of the total program cost for those who identify as part of an underserved community based on race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, or another characteristic.
The application deadline is March 21, 2021 and the training will begin April 17-18, 2021.
