Imagine walking through an ordinary, overlooked patch of land and seeing it transformed into a thriving garden filled with colorful native plants, butterflies, and hummingbirds. That’s the vision behind the Redlands Native Plant & Pollinator Garden — a new community space near Sylvan Park where nature, education, and community come together.
Led by the Leadership Redlands Class of 2025, in partnership with the Redlands Chamber Foundation (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit), this sustainable beautification project will feature drought-tolerant native plants, pollinator habitats, educational signage and seating areas. More than just a garden, it’s an investment in Redlands’ future — a legacy of beauty, learning, and connection for generations to come.
Why This Matters
Our Community Beautification Project is designed to:
- Beautify Redlands with a lush, colorful, and inviting public space.
- Educate visitors with signage about native plants, pollinators, and sustainable landscaping.
- Support the environment with water-wise plants that use up to 80% less water while protecting vital pollinator species.
- Strengthen community pride by showcasing Redlands as the “Gem of the Inland Empire.”
- Boost local economy by drawing more visitors to Sylvan Park and surrounding businesses.
