Help our team get to FRC World Championships!

Our FIRST Robotics Competition team, the Redhawk Robotics from the High School for Construction Trades, Engineering & Architecture, located in South Ozone Park, NY, recently qualified to advance to World Championships in Houston, Texas.

I would like to ask for your assistance in funding us to participate in the 2022-2023 FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) World Championships. This is our second year in a row qualifying for World Championships for FRC. We were able to qualify by earning the Engineering Inspiration award, which recognizes a team for going above and beyond in their engineering and outreach efforts to spread awareness for STEM education. This is a great honor for any team, let alone a team in its second year. We are one of four public schools in NYC to qualify for the championships. Last year, our team qualified for the world championships in Houston, Texas, in our rookie year, and was the only team from New York state to bring home an award from an international level.

FIRST stands for For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology. FIRST is a global, nonprofit organization dedicated to preparing and leading the next generation of youth into the world of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. In our rookie year, we have already won 2 awards and qualified for World Championships after our first regional event. We want to stand strong and proud at championships as we set the foundation for the upcoming generation of students who will join our team and continue our legacy. Any of our members can attest that FIRST has positively impacted their lives by guiding them through the world of STEM and helping to build communication and leadership skills. Our team is like our second family bonded by robotics. Please help us make it to World Championships by donating. The future is now, and it starts with just a little support to help guide future students through FIRST innovation.

The estimated cost to get to Houston is $40,000 (assuming all team members can attend).
