We opened the Red Brick Kitchen & Bar in September of 2010 with the plan of serving fresh, affordably priced food and drink to our hometown of Dexter, Michigan. Since then, our business has grown. We have worked hard and been fortunate enough to feed more and more people each year we have been open. Though we are ecstatic that our business is growing, we are reaching a critical mass in the little space our restaurant occupies. On Friday and Saturday nights a logjam of people forms at our door, our patrons have little room to enjoy their meals, and our tiny galley kitchen is not large enough to keep up with the increased volume of food being served. Thus, when a restaurant next to ours became available for purchase, we leaped at the opportunity to provide more space for our growing business. When renovations are complete we will have more seating, more bar space, and perhaps most importantly, a larger kitchen for our hard-working chefs.

However, the renovation process will not be cheap. Both the new space we have purchased and our current space need substantial work before we will be able to re-open. We are also very concerned about the time that the entire restaurant will be closed down for the final push of renovations, owing to the fact that our small but dedicated staff will be without work for that time period. We want to keep compensating them as they normally would be while the restaurant is open. Our restaurant would not be the same if we re-opened without the staff that got us to this point in the first place. Please help us succeed.
