In honor of International Women's Day and Women's History Month, you can make a difference by donating to the Red Thread Foundation for Women.

In 2011, a group of women from diverse corners of the world pulled together to create The Red Thread. Our founders are former international students, immigrants, and first-generation Americans who benefitted tremendously from the academic and professional support they received while on the path to higher education in the U.S.

Now, we extend support to a new generation of young women. Our small nonprofit is dedicated to providing scholarship and mentorship support to women of international backgrounds starting their U.S. college education. We are proud to share that over the past 14 years we have awarded over $22,000 in scholarship funds - but with your help, we can do so much more.

Why a red thread? With roots in multiple cultures, it symbolises a connection between people and the invisible forces that bind us together. The whole world benefits when young women are able to pursue higher education and succeed. Join us in helping them overcome the financial and cultural hurdles to getting there.

Your donation goes directly to our scholarship recipients. It helps us support more recipients, as well as increase the scholarship funds they recieve.
