There’s an old story in Chinese folklore about a magical connection between two people who are destined to be soulmates, called “The Red String of Fate”. The two people connected by the red thread are destined lovers, regardless of time, place, or circumstances. This magical cord may stretch or tangle, but never break.

Logline: When his best friend mysteriously disappears, the son of a small-town sheriff embarks on a search for answers, piecing together their last moments together as memories blur the line between truth and guilt.

Hi everyone! My name is Ally Bernabe, and I'm a senior Film & Television student at the Savannah College of Art and Design. As I prepare to enter my final year at SCAD, I am working on my senior thesis film, "Red String," alongside my incredible producers, Raghav Adlakha and Autumn Bishop. This story has undergone numerous rewrites and iterations over the past eight or so years, and I couldn't be more excited to return to the director's chair with an incredible crew and cast behind me.
