Hi! My name is Branwen, I'm trans and live in North Carolina. I am struggling with addiction and mental illness and it's coming to a head. I desperately need assistance in medical and legal support. I have tried to fight for myself since elementary school, and within the past five years I've been in a losing battle with addiction. Recently my position has worsened, and I am facing possible jail time in a red state as a result of this addiction. I cannot let this happen to me. I am scared for my life and want to get out of this downward spiral. Three nights ago I was at the very lowest point in my life and ready to end it, but friends kept me alive to write this.
