RED FLAGS Short Film

Donation protected
Hello there,

Samuel and Bryson here, happy to announce the production of our new romantic comedy short film, RED FLAGS, filming in February.

LOGLINE: “When the boy he’s dating seems too good to be true, a paranoid young man goes full detective as he searches for his hidden flaws.”

Your contribution would greatly assist in providing the production with proper equipment, securing locations, and affording costumes for this heartfelt and whimsical story, and, just as importantly, keeping our cast and crew well-fed. The smallest contribution can make all the difference in helping make this hilarious story come to life.

Our Team:

Writer/Director: Samuel Oladejo is a senior Radio-Television-Film major with a certificate in Creative Writing. Originally from Houston, Samuel moved to Austin to pursue his screenwriting career, where he loves writing stories centered around black and LGBTQ+ characters. After graduation, Samuel hopes to move to LA and work in television, preferably in writing or creative development. His previous works include the short films “Rewind” as well as “Where There’s a Will,” which played at the Texas Union Film Festival.

Producer: Bryson Baker is a senior Radio-Television-Film major with a minor in business. Originally from Rio Rancho, NM, Bryson moved to Austin wanting to find his passion within the entertainment industry, eventually growing a passion for producing film and television. After graduation, Bryson plans to move to LA to pursue a career in film production. His previous works include “Callisto’s End” which received the Platinum Remi award at the Houston Worldfest as well as “Dust to Dust” which played in competition at the Austin Film Festival.

First Assistant Director: Lauren Haughey is a third-year Radio-Television-Film major with a double minor in French and Studio Art from Dallas, Texas. Lauren moved to Austin because of her passion for film, where she has a particular interest in assistant directing. Lauren plans to study abroad in France this coming fall to study different approaches to film and art, and then return to Austin to finish her studies.

Director of Photography: Adam Kaplan was born in the melting pot capital of New York City and learned how to explore and discover new perspectives from a young age. He moved to Texas in 2019 to attend the University of Texas at Austin, and is pursuing two Bachelor's degrees in Radio-Television-Film and Advertising. Since starting college, Adam has grown to love writing and being on set, working freelance as assistant camera and videographer/cinematographer. He hopes to one day work in the entertainment industry as a showrunner for kids' animation and is heavily inspired by the shows he loves like Amphibia, Star vs the Forces of Evil, and Steven Universe.
