Annemarie and Maizie here!
We are producing a narrative film about the impacts of suicide on family life. The film will also include a piece featuring a mental health professional speaking about how people experiencing suicidal thoughts can seek help, and how friends/family of those going through this can seek help/support for themselves too.
We, Annemarie and Maizie, are very passionate about the art of filmmaking, and using it to express stories (sometimes, hard stories) as a vehicle to bring people together and start conversation.
Personally, suicide has affected us both in very deep ways, and so the prospect of using our creative aspirations to address and confront the topic of suicide inspires us to make this film.
We are doing bake sales, coffee sales, art sales, tabling, et cetera to gain the $ to make this film; however, we need your help! Our total budget is so far a little over $3,000; and our sales aren't nearly going to cut it. Any amount you can donate is much appreciated! :)
Our donations will go to film expenses and we started a joint withdrawal account specifically for the film.
