Help Us Match an Angel-Donor
Tax deductible
Recycle-A-Bike of Providence has been actively educating and providing mechanical services and space to the city and particularly to the city's economically challenged old downtown, Olneyville, for over 10 years. Our programs include adult education, build-a-bike classes, youth mechanics certification, safe riding and recreation for children (Pedal Power) and, most recently, a credit bearing course for Rhode Island high school students interested in bicycle mechanics as a science and/or career stepping-stone sponsored by the RI Dept. of Education-the Advanced Course Network.
While not terribly expensive, our programs, employees and facility require a significant budget to maintain and we are in desperate need of larger donations to continue providing our services.
In keeping with this goal we recently obtained a donation from a long time admirer but $2500 of that donation must come with a match from the community, if we do not raise the $2500 then we will lose it.
So we are reaching out to Our Community; to all residents of Providence, Cyclists, and every Rhode Islander. Please help us match this gift and help us keep serving the community, especially the children, of our city and state.
