Hi! My name is Maddy!
I am very excited to announce that I will be going on a mission trip to Guatemala with fellow RUF students from Appalachian State University. Reformed University Fellowship is a Christian Ministry that has had a such a significant spiritual impact on my college career. We will be going from March 9-16, 2024. That may seem far away; however, we need to start praying, preparing, and purchasing plane tickets now. So what will we be doing?
We will be working with Eagle’s Nest, which is an children’s home in Solola. The organization’s mission is to provide a safe place, a home, for children without one. Sharing the gospel with the children and the surrounding community through a feeding program and elementary school are also important parts of their ministry. During our time there we will be beautifying and improving the property and helping to build a wall around the property. This wall will serve to keep wild animals out and away from the kids and serve to protect the kids. We will also be helping out with the kids, playing with them, and providing activities for them in the afternoons.
I am extremely excited to use my God-given gifts and skills to help the Guatemalans. I can’t wait to see how God works through this team and through the community in Guatemala.
I can hardly wait for this trip, but I can’t do it without your help! The team and I need your prayers for open, humble hearts in order to serve Jesus and the people at Eagle’s Nest with love and joy. We are sure to meet obstacles along the way, so prayer for strength and peace would be greatly appreciated!
We also need financial support. I need to raise $2200 in the next few months, which will pay for my lodging, food, and travel expenses. I would be very thankful for your support because raising $2200 is no easy feat!
If you do choose to support me financially, GoFundMe is my primary source.
Thank you for your support, whether it is in prayer, donations, or simply keeping me in your thoughts! I am ecstatic to have this opportunity to experience a new culture, become acquainted with beautiful people, and get in touch with the true meaning of joy through service. I can’t wait to enjoy the blessings that are sure to flow from this experience!
Muchas gracias!
