On Wednesday, January 3, Shannon was changing light bulbs outside 21 grocery in Elk Creek, Va. He fell off of the ladder, a fall of about 8 ft, and landed head first onto concrete. Thankfully, there were people there who were able to call a helicopter to come quickly and he was flown to Baptist hospital in Winston Salem. We are forever grateful to the first responders, Independence rescue squad, and the paramedics with the flight team for the excellent care they provided to him.
He was rushed to the OR in Winston where he received an emergency craniectomy to allow room for the severe swelling in his brain. He currently has a subdural hematoma, 4 spinal fractures, a broken clavicle, broken ribs, and numerous skull fractures.
Shannon is so loved by his family and so many others, please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
Please donate and share to assist in maintaining Shannon's bills and any medical expenses he is accruing.
