Salvēte, my name is Chris I'm a military veteran with a passion for Ancient Rome, and I'm on a mission to recreate the life of a Roman Legionary on campaign in the 1st Century AD (CE). This endeavor involves using historically accurate equipment and marching the same distances that these brave soldiers did, all in the spirit of experimental archaeology.

My ultimate goal is to march from the picturesque region of Dordogne, France, to the eternal city of Rome. This journey isn't just about retracing the steps of the past; it's about bringing history to life. By immersing myself in the daily life, equipment, and conditions of a Roman Legionary, I aim to gain a deeper understanding of their experiences and challenges.
