Ross W. Medical Fund

Ross is 33 years old. He is a Combat Veteran. He is a truck drive. He is a wonderful father and fiance. He is engaged to be married to an amazing woman named Thea. She is also a Combat Veteran. They have 4 equally amazing children. But one day about a week ago, Ross had shortness of breath. He went to the Emergency Room and everything fell apart. They found out Ross had bilateral pulmonary embolisms and a multitude clots throughout his body. No explanation. They took him to surgery to put in a filter to catch the clots. But the filter was clogged in a few hours. He had to undergo another surgery. While recovering from the second surgery, Ross went into cardiac arrest, a full code blue. He came out intubated, on a ventilator, unable to breathe on his own. The doctors are kept him sedated for the vent and for his own good (movement could dislodge one of his clots which could potentially cause a stroke ... or worse). As of today, July 9, 2018, he is still intubated, but the doctors are hopeful. They backed off of some of his sedatives and he woke up, fought the vent. Which is actually very GOOD news because it shows that he is still fighting, still aware. His family is at his bedside and we are receiving both good and bad news all the time. He is a fighter, he is a Combat Veteran. But they have a long road ahead of them. A long recovery ahead of them. They have had to move their wedding date, which was planned for December 22, 2018. Thea has done almost all of this on her own. But they need help. He is, obviously, unable to work and she is at his bedside.
