Recovery Support for Jonathan Land

Jon suffered a massive stroke on 2/24/21. He is unable to move his body, but can breath on his own and can communicate with his eyes. He spent the first 10 days in ICU and has been transferred to a Step Down Unit and then to Telemetry care. He will be transferred to a Long Term Acute Care Facility sometime this week. 

There is a chance for Jon to recover some functionality and there will be a long and difficult road to recovery.  He currently needs to be monitored 24 hours a day by a skilled nurse. He will need physical therapy and speech therapy, along with mobility and communication devices . The extent of the care and treatment Jon will need is relatively unknown at this time. It all depends on his progress. 

These funds will help pay for his current and future medical expenses, and will help to accommodate Jon as he returns to some semblance of a happy and useful life.  These funds will be coming to me directly, and I will be paying his bills for him, until he is able to do so for himself. 

Jon and I have been together for 8 1/2 years. This event has been absolutely devastating, but has also brought a lot of hope and love. Asking for help is extremely difficult for both of us. Anything you can offer would be a true blessing.
