Recovery Support For Jejie
Donation protected
On January 10th, Jess was going to meet her cousin Gabi for coffee in Highland Park. At the corner of Figueroa and Ave 59 she waited until she had the walk sign, looked both ways, and proceeded to cross Figueroa. When she heard tires screech, she turned to look but was hit by a truck and tossed over the hood and onto the ground before she even saw it coming.
She was incredibly lucky to walk away with her life, no brain damage, and full use of her extremities. But she did fracture her scapula, which will require surgery, and 3-4 months of physical therapy. She also needs MRIs to determine the lasting damage to her neck and knees.
The driver, unfortunately, was uninsured. We have been very fortunate to receive incredible amounts of help from friends and family, in the forms of meals, flowers, love and finances. However, between the current ER bills, surgery, physical therapy and Jejie's inability to work for 1-3 months, we are very humbly asking for your help with whatever you can spare.
We love you all so much, and hope to see all of your faces soon!
THANKS!
