Recovery of our Mother Mary

A couple of weeks ago I received the call that you never want to receive telling me that my Mom has had an accident and was on her way to the hospital by ambulance. 

For those of us who live outside our country, this type of news makes us feel desperate for the distance. As soon as I could I went to Mexico to be with her and my brother who had the strength to accompany her at all times.

When I arrived at the hospital in Mexico, the diagnosis was shocking. She had destroyed both feet and the third lumbar vertebra in her back which required immediate surgery.

She had already been at the IMSS in Celaya for several days without anything happening. The bureaucracy and the Mexican public system blocked the necessary surgery - time was running up and risks on any level were increasing. At some moment, relief seemed close thanks to the support of my friend Malu. We were able to transfer her to a private hospital to perform the necessary surgery.

Fortunately, the surgery was a success - it went well especially on the vertebra situation. which was critical.  Now my mum is in recovery stages, but as you know the costs, even with the help of friends and family, have been very strong, which is why I ask for help to cover the costs of the recovery that we need in medicine and nurses who help her at home. 

Also the physical  rehabilitation so that our dear Mother can recover to the fullest.

From the outset, I am very grateful to all the people and their support and affection to overcome this difficult moment we are facing. I know that these are difficult times for everyone but we will succeed. Thank you always Jano and the whole family.
