Recovery of Kenny Ramos

Hello, My name is Jennette, and I am starting this fundraiser to help support my sister Maria and her family who were in a tragic car accident on Sunday, November 7th. They were on their way back from Wisconsin when they got hit head-on. My sister Maria obtained a broken arm. Her husband, Charlie Ramos, had a deep cut in his leg which had to get stitched. Her son, Jadiel Ramos, had to get a neck brace. Her daughter, Selena Ramos, had a dislocated shoulder. They were all left with multiple bruises. Her other son, Kenny Ramos of 5 years old, had to be flown to Lurie Childrens Hospital in downtown Chicago as he had severe injuries.

Kenny, had to be transported to the picu right away and was intubated to help with breathing. Although Kenny was responding well at first, he still had spots of blood on his brain, a torn ligament, a blood clot in his spine, fractured clavicle and multiple bruises. He had to get a ligament repair surgery. Kenny in which we call “kenny boy” is strong and has been recovering from his surgery. He will need to attend rehabilitation and it is still unknown how long he will be staying at the picu.

My sister Maria and her husband Charlie do not have health insurance and they have not been attending work due to being with Kenny at the hospital. It is a very hard time and In addition to the medical bills and lost wages, they will also need a new vehicle as theirs was completely damaged.

All contributions will go directly to my sister Maria for medical bills and assistance.

Mi nombre es Jennette y estoy comenzando esta recaudación de fondos para ayudar a apoyar a mi hermana María y su familia, quienes sufrieron un trágico accidente automovilístico el domingo, 7 de noviembre. Estaban de regreso de Wisconsin cuando los golpearon de frente. Mi hermana María se fracturó el brazo. Su esposo, Charlie Ramos, tenía un corte profundo en la pierna que tuvieron que coser. Su hijo, Jadiel Ramos, tuvo que ponerse un collarín. Su hija, Selena Ramos, tenía un hombro dislocado. Todos quedaron con múltiples moretones. Su otro hijo, Kenny Ramos de 5 años, tuvo que ser trasladado en avión al Lurie Childrens Hospital en el centro de Chicago porque tenía heridas graves.

Kenny, tuvo que ser transportado al picu de inmediato y fue intubado para ayudarlo a respirar. Aunque Kenny respondía bien al principio, todavía tenía manchas de sangre en el cerebro, un ligamento desgarrado, un coágulo de sangre en la columna vertebral, fractura de clavícula y múltiples moretones. Tuvo que someterse a una cirugía de reparación de ligamentos. Kenny en el que llamamos "kenny boy" es fuerte y se ha estado recuperando de su cirugía. Tendrá que asistir a rehabilitación y aún se desconoce cuánto tiempo permanecerá en el picu.

Mi hermana María y su esposo Charlie no tienen seguro médico y no han asistido al trabajo debido a que están con Kenny en el hospital. Es un momento muy difícil y además de las facturas médicas y los salarios perdidos, también necesitarán un vehículo nuevo ya que el suyo estaba completamente dañado.
