Giving the Steger Family Hope from Eaton Canyon Fire

My parents, John and Margarita Steger, built their life here 30 years ago in the beautiful city of Altadena. This beautiful city raised my family and I, Brianna Steger by creating memories and building our livelihood. In the Eaton Canyon Fire, our house was in its path, it came too fast and in a flash everything went. I never would have thought that my childhood home would be gone. During this time my mother had been in the hospital, overcoming illness, and my father was left alone with the task of getting out alive.

Now we are faced with the reality that when my mom comes out of the hospital that she doesn’t have a home to come home to, we are blessed to be alive and that everyone is safe. However, we are suffering the loss of our home.
