Recovery Help Needed For Heather, Tyler & Kenna

Donation protected
My sister in-law was involved in a catastrophic accident last week, while working on the light rail project in Minneapolis as a fourth year apprentice electrician. While working, Heather was struck by an accelerating truck, and suffered significant injuries as a result of this unfortunate tragedy. Heather has had to undergo surgeries to repair injuries sustained to her spine in her neck and back. Additionally, she has had to have surgeries done to her face and head from the damage of the fall.
For the last four years, Heather has diligently worked as an apprentice electrician, and has enjoyed learning new skills, and honing in on her craft. Heather and her husband Tyler share a 5-year-old daughter, Kenna. She brings so much joy and happiness to the family, and is the light of their lives. As a result of Heather’s misfortune, Tyler has to take unpaid family medical leave while he cares for his wife and daughter. Heather is unable to work for the foreseeable future due to her physical condition, which will significantly affect their household income.
For those of whom know Heather personally, you know how her humor can light up a room. I’ve been amazed at how Heather has handled this tragedy. She is staying strong for her family and her daughter Kenna, and continues to make jokes even when she is in immense pain. Watching her navigate through this process has been an incredible thing to witness. Not many people would be able to retain the best parts of themselves in light of an unforeseen life-altering event.
We are asking for those who are able, and wish to contribute to Heather and her family’s recovery, to please donate what you can, even if that amount is small. Every little bit is very much appreciated, and makes a world of difference. Heather and Tyler will use these funds to help cover their shared income loss, monthly insurance premium, to help care for their sweet daughter, pay bills, and cover the basic necessities while Tyler helps Heather rehabilitate to a new way of life. Any donations will help their daughter to thrive, and give her the life they previously had been able to give her. Thank you to everyone who is taking the time to read this, and is contributing what they can to this cause.
