On Tuesday January 8th, 2019 at 2:30 am my husband, Merce, suffered a massive stroke that led to a brain aneurysm that nearly took his life.
As we were sitting at home getting ready for bed he grabbed his head suddenly and complained of a massive headache, I gave him a pain pill but it didn't help. Then the right side of his body went numb and then limp.
I can't even begin to tell you how scared I was. I almost didn't know what to do because he had gotten headaches before, but this was very different. Something was really wrong with him.
I called 911 immediately and they got him into the hospital and performed emergency surgery to stop the bleeding in is brain.
At least he was alive...
I was hoping he'd wake up but he still hasn't. Since then he's had 3 more surgeries.
After his first major surgery to save his life, they had to go back in to drain more blood and to try get his swelling under control.
The next surgery they did was to remove part of his skull to relieve the pressure on his brain, and the 3rd he had was a tracheotomy where they took the breathing tubes out of his throat and cut a hole in his neck to connect a machine to help him breathe.
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t scared. He’s my world and I’m his world. Part of my world is fighting for his life right now and I don’t know what things are going to look like in the future.
I don’t know if he’s going to be ok when he wakes up, or if he’s not going to be able to take care of himself.
This is why I need your help.
My name is Kimbra Rodriguez and Merce and I have been married for 17 years.
I know there are a lot of people that need help right now but if you can help us with anything that you may have left we’d so grateful if you could do it.
I don’t know how we’re going to pay the hospital bills yet, let alone our other bills but we just need help.

Please pray for Merce that he’d come out of this and that it would happen soon. We need him awake and hear with us.
